How we work

How we run your WordPress websites project

From the first conversation to delivery, every decision is explained, every step produces a verifiable result and nothing moves forward without your approval.

Where you stand

We don't restart every project from scratch.

We tailor the first days of the engagement to your reality: a brand-new idea, an existing solution or a problem that needs solving fast.

New website01

You are launching your site or store

We build a site that reflects your brand and that you can evolve yourself.

How we get started

  • Workshop on goals, audiences and content
  • Site map and mock-ups of key pages
  • Choice of hosting and plugins
Existing site02

Your WordPress is slow, fragile or dated

We take over the site, secure it, then improve or redesign it without losing your search rankings.

How we get started

  • Audit of performance, plugins and security
  • Backup and controlled updates
  • Redirect plan to protect SEO
Online sales03

You want to sell with WooCommerce

We add or optimise your store: catalogue, payments, shipping and the link with your back office.

How we get started

  • Analysis of the catalogue and checkout journey
  • Choice of payment methods and carriers
  • Connection to stock and invoicing (Odoo, SAP)

The full process

A clear path forward, with no gray areas.

At every step, you know what was done, what was delivered and what decision is needed to move on.

  1. 013 to 5 days

    Scoping and content

We define goals, pages, content and features before choosing the theme and plugins.

    What we do

    • Goals and success metrics
    • Site map and content plan
    • Short list of required plugins

Why this step: A WordPress site launched without scoping quickly piles up unnecessary plugins, pages with no purpose and budget overruns. This step sets out what the website must achieve and what it will contain, before any technical choice. You get a clear scope, a realistic schedule and a quote that won't change along the way.

How we proceed, line by line

    1. 1 We hold an initial video call to understand your business, your customers and what you concretely expect from the website.
    2. 2 If you already have a website, we analyze it: visited pages, content to keep, installed plugins and pain points.
    3. 3 We translate your goals into simple indicators, such as the number of contact requests or orders to track after launch.
    4. 4 We map out the site structure in a shared document and list, page by page, the text, images and features needed.
    5. 5 We select a short list of reliable, well-maintained plugins and justify each one.
    6. 6 We write the specifications and schedule, then review them with you in a second video call before approval.

    Who does what

A project manager leads the discussions and writes the specifications, supported by a WordPress developer for technical choices. On your side, a contact person decides on the scope and gathers information about your business.

    What you provide

    • Your goals, your target audiences and a few websites you like or dislike
    • Access to your current website, hosting and domain name, if any
    • Existing content: text, logos, photos and documents
    • A person available for two video calls and the final approval of the scope

    What you receive

    Specification and schedule

    Your approval

You approve the scope, pages and budget.

  2. 021 to 3 weeks

    Design and theme

We design the mock-ups, then a custom theme with blocks tailored to your content.

    What we do

    • Desktop and mobile mock-ups
    • Custom theme and Gutenberg blocks
    • Accessibility and performance by design

Why this step: Validating the look on mockups costs far less than fixing a website that has already been built. By then building a custom theme rather than a generic one, we avoid slowness and superfluous options. You get a website that reflects your brand, is fast and is easy to edit yourself.

How we proceed, line by line

    1. 1 We gather your brand guidelines, or lay down the basics if they don't exist yet: colors, typefaces and image style.
    2. 2 The designer creates mockups of the key pages, in desktop and mobile versions, and presents them to you by video call.
    3. 3 You annotate the shared mockups directly and we incorporate your feedback into a revised version.
    4. 4 The developer codes the theme and the Gutenberg blocks matching your content types, without a heavy page builder.
    5. 5 From this stage, we check contrast, keyboard navigation and page weight.
    6. 6 We put a protected staging site online and send you the link so you can browse it on your own devices.

    Who does what

A designer creates the mockups, then a WordPress developer builds the theme and blocks, coordinated by the project manager. You review the mockups, give feedback and browse the staging site.

    What you provide

    • Your logo, brand guidelines and good-quality photos
    • Consolidated feedback on the mockups, within the agreed timeframes
    • Written approval of the mockups before theme development

    What you receive

    Browsable staging site

    Your approval

You browse the site and approve the result.

  3. 031 to 3 weeks

    Features and store

We add forms, multilingual support, WooCommerce and connectors, then load your content.

    What we do

    • Payments, shipping and VAT
    • Translations and SEO for each page
    • Testing on browsers and mobiles

Why this step: This is where the website becomes truly useful: forms, store, languages and connections to your tools. Each feature is tested in real conditions so that no order or enquiry gets lost after launch. You receive a complete, populated and verified website, ready for your acceptance testing.

How we proceed, line by line

    1. 1 We configure the forms and check that every message reaches the right inbox.
    2. 2 For a store, we configure WooCommerce: products, payment methods in test mode, delivery zones and VAT rules.
    3. 3 If you use an ERP such as Odoo or SAP, we set up and test the synchronization of products, stock and orders.
    4. 4 We add your content and its translations, then fill in the title, description and tags for each page.
    5. 5 We test the website on the main browsers, on phones and tablets, and fix any issues found.
    6. 6 We give you a list of acceptance test scenarios to run: placing an order, submitting a form, switching languages.

    Who does what

The WordPress developers build the features and connectors, while the project manager oversees content integration and organizes acceptance testing. You provide the final content and test the website with your own scenarios.

    What you provide

    • Final text, its translations and product listings
    • Access to your payment and shipping accounts and, if applicable, your ERP
    • Your VAT and shipping rules and your terms and conditions
    • Time to run the acceptance tests and report anything that needs fixing

    What you receive

    Complete site ready for acceptance

    Your approval

You test orders, forms and content.

  4. 042 to 5 days, then ongoing

    Launch and maintenance

We launch the site, train your teams and handle updates, backups and monitoring.

    What we do

    • Launch, redirects and Search Console
    • Editor training and illustrated guide
    • Updates, backups and monitoring

Why this step: A poorly prepared launch can cost you visitors, Google rankings or orders. An unmaintained WordPress site also becomes vulnerable over time. This step ensures a clean launch, a self-sufficient team and a website that stays secure and up to date.

How we proceed, line by line

    1. 1 We take a full backup, then choose with you a low-traffic time for the launch.
    2. 2 We switch the domain name, activate the HTTPS certificate and set up redirects from old URLs.
    3. 3 We submit the website and its sitemap to Google Search Console and check that the pages are being crawled.
    4. 4 We run a recorded training session by video call and give you an illustrated guide for publishing and editing your content.
    5. 5 We set up automatic backups and uptime monitoring for the website.
    6. 6 As part of maintenance, we apply updates on a test copy before deploying them to the live website.

    Who does what

A WordPress developer handles the launch, redirects and maintenance, while the project manager runs the training and remains your contact. Your team attends the training and publishes its first content.

    What you provide

    • Access to your domain name registrar and hosting
    • Access to Google Search Console or permission to create it for you
    • The people to be trained, available for the training session
    • Your agreement on the launch date and maintenance plan

    What you receive

    Live site and maintenance plan

    Your approval

Your team publishes its first content on its own.
