Delete your Valais Connect account

From the app

1. Open Valais Connect and sign in.
2. Go to “Profil” (Profile) › “Paramètres” (Settings) › “Compte” (Account), then tap “Compte” (“Nom, e-mail et suppression du compte” – Name, email and account deletion): the page opens on the website.
3. Tap “Supprimer le compte” (Delete account), enter your password to confirm, then confirm.

From a browser

Sign in on valais-connect.ch, open your profile settings, then “Supprimer le compte” (Delete account).

Without access to your account

Write to us from your account's email address, with the subject “Suppression de mon compte Valais Connect” (Deletion of my Valais Connect account) (button below). We delete the account within 30 days at most and confirm it to you by email.

Before deleting

Deletion is refused while an operation is in progress, to protect your money and other members:

• money remains in your wallet (withdraw it first), or a top-up, payment or withdrawal has not been completed;
• an order, delivery or dispute is in progress;
• a fundraiser you created is ongoing or under review, or a paid mutual help request is awaiting payment.

Data deleted

• Your profile (photo, bio, interests, skills, links) and your address.
• Your posts, stories, comments and likes, with their media.
• Your messages, attachments and voice messages, your private conversations and your blocks.
• Your listings (marketplace, housing, mutual help) and their photos, questions, courses and progress, exchanges with Gaspard, events, resources and files, reviews.
• Your notifications, registered devices, sessions, passkeys and referral codes.

Your account is anonymised: your name becomes “Membre supprimé” (Deleted member) and your email address is erased, so you can reuse it for a new account.

Data retained

• Financial records — wallet, top-ups, withdrawals and orders, linked to “Membre supprimé” (Deleted member), for the period required by law (up to 10 years).
• Donations to a fundraiser — kept anonymously, without your message.
• Moderation reports — kept for the safety of members.
• Backups — overwritten within 14 days.
